What is Specialty Coffee?

Specialty coffee is made of specialty grade coffee beans - The Pinnacle of Coffee Quality. Coffee beans are graded much like emeralds prized for their rarity, clarity and brilliance. The Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) uses a 100-point system to evaluate each bean on attributes like aroma, flavor, clarity and overall balance. Beans that score 80 or above earn the title of “Specialty Grade”, the gold standard for true coffee connoisseurs. These exceptional beans are grown exclusively at high altitudes approximately (1,000–7,000 feet) above the sea level in selected microclimates. At Brew It by Sash, we take it a step further by exclusively sourcing beans that score 85+, a level defined by the SCA as having “excellent” flavour. These exceptional beans are reserved for those who expect nothing but the best in every cup.

Why does my coffee have some sediment at the bottom?

Natural sedimentation is normal since we don’t use additives or fillers. Just give the bottle a good shake before use; it will dissolve and your coffee will be brewtifully perfect!
